Dollhouse - New Furniture
Summer is super excited about the new furniture that will be going on the rooftop deck. Of course it will need to painted. I was able to paint my old Barbie chase lounge a lovely shade of taupe using craft paint. I created the flower pots using small Halloween plastic caldrons which I painted bronze and I filled them with small flower bunches that I cut to size and set into styrofoam balls. My mom helped me pick out the most beautiful and perfect-sized flowers for the girls. I used dried lentils to keep them in place which makes them look like they were covered in decorative pebbles. Now we can't wait for the house to be built! We will be checking in tomorrow to see how the progress is going. Tehe :-)
Lighthouse Painting on Driftwood
A painting of a lighthouse on driftwood. Paintings on driftwood are no ordinary paintings... they are paintings full of mystery! What type of tree did the piece of wood come from? Where did that tree grow? How old was the tree? What was the wood used for? Was it part of a boat? Was it part of a door or window? Was it part of a piece of furniture? Where was it used? For how long? Who used it? How did it break? How did it get into the sea? How long had it been drifting in the sea? Where did it travel before it arrived at the beach? Had it been to many other beaches? How many countries did it pass? The story doesn't end there...see my blog to read the rest (details on profile page)
