Current Projects

Altrusa of Fayetteville continues to hold events and support various programs in the community, including the following:

  • Kid's Market / Trade-a-Book, partnered with Cobblestone Farms to provide produce and exchange of older books for new ones for their home library
  • Salvation Army Medical Fund, providing medical service ministries to those in need in the community
  • Mozart, Music, and Literacy, a program for students connecting classical music and literacy
  • T.U.G.S., providing t-shirts, underwear, gloves, and socks to those in need through the Salvation Army
  • Yvonne Richardson Community Center: Donated books / educational workbooks; and story hours
  • Single parent scholarships
  • Ronald McDonald House: Provided children's book and pantry items; providing meals
Previous Projects:
  • Fayetteville Youth Dental Clinic, providing dental services to children in need
  • "Captivating Read," providing books to inmates of the Washington County Women's Jail
  • Arkansas Highway Cleanup 
  • Read to Me:  Read-a-Thon, a series of events in which Altrusans read to children at Fayetteville's Barnes and Noble
