Scholarships

"Altrusa is an expression of the search for the best in character, in business, and in citizenship."
Mamie L. Bass, first President of Altrusa International, Inc.

In 1995, Altrusa of Fayetteville established a scholarship in honor of one of its past presidents, Lillian Woods, who initiated the club's longest-running Community Service Project, the Fayetteville Youth Dental Program.  Since that time, two additional scholarships have been established by the club.  The scholarships provide funding to help achieve the educational objectives and career goals of deserving students.  With the proper education, career aspirations become attainable. Altrusa believes that the way to progress lies in education and opportunities to develop leadership.

Guidelines and applications will be posted to this Web site when they become available.  All scholarship materials should be completed and submitted for consideration by the scholarship committee by the deadline as listed on the materials.
