The New Years Eve that isn't. Yes, I'm still really really whiney about this. Where I want to be tonight. *sigh* I've been waiting for him since the last time he was here which was summer '08. This pic is from summer 07. He's here every summer so I was really disappointed, with a new ablum out, that he wasn't booked over the summer. But, then I find out he's coming for NYE and all was right with the world again. Well, ooook, that's way better! Only it was all a trick. An illusion. Wait until I get allllllllll excited and then CRUSH. I'm just sooooo extremely disappointed. Can you tell? Cuz, I really really am...He's just so awesome and I had this whole night playing out in my head and it was going to be amazing (even if I was all by myself). Since, I'm confusing let me spell it out...Chris - get your butt to Milwaukee in 2010 and you'd better be there TWO nights! Yesterday made it alittle better though: I get to watch NHL games online LIVE and for FREE. I have to watch it in itty bitty vision but who cares! As if to celebrate the Flyers scored within the first minute of play. And then again, and again, and again...and again and again. Sweeeeet! Rangers are shut out and Simon scores a natural hat trick. Bonus 6 goals equals 8 points for my fantasy team with just this one game. Yup. Woulda stayed up to watch the Caps and Sharks (that'd be a good one) but it was in San Jose with a late start and little bitty vision makes my head hurt. If that wasn't enough, I got to watch Bucky win the Champs Sports Bowl without (officially) knowing who won. My little isolation bubble isn't so bad. I figured they won from a friend's voice when he mentioned he stayed up to watch it. Yippeeee. Either he figured I already knew or he remembers that I tape everything (only exception really is the Flyers when playing in the east) and tried not to say...he said it without saying it...but that's ok. I told someone that I was all lonely in my building hinting they should visit me.... A student was sent. I meant you, you dork, not just anyone. Whatever....loooong day finally ends with only one shoveling episode late. Who do I spy walking in front of me in the parking lot? Yeeeeeaaah. Scruffy. Nice. Always a nice touch to a day. =) Home and long walk all the way across town. Ice is slippery enough on it's own but add a nice powdery light coating of snow - chaaaa. Almost fell four times. Which isn't so bad I guess, we walked all the way to sled at Washington. I don't know how long it's been since I went sledding. Way fun. Chance loved it too. Then, home to watch Bucky. Then, interupted to watch the Flyers. Then, back to Bucky at intermission. Finishing with more Flyers: SCORE!!!
