Biography:

My name is Tami Brown, and I am teaching 7th and 8th grade English/Language Arts at Alton R-IV High School. I currently hold a Masters in Education from Missouri State University.

This will be my ninth year to teach and it is my first year to teach Middle School.  My prior teaching experience was teaching 4th grade at Alton.  My teaching career started later in life than most people and before teaching, I worked for more than 15 years as a paralegal.

Born in California, I lived in Florida for several years before moving to Arkansas.  I live with my husband, Michael, daughter, Autumn (17), dog, Ollie, parakeet, Romeo, and our beloved family cat, Mr. Monk in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with my friends and family.  I also love to read, which makes being an English and Language Arts (ELA)  teacher a dream occupation for me, as I truly enjoy sharing good stories and books with my students!
