I am a Professor of Chemistry, at the  Department of Chemistry , University of DhakaBangladesh

My main research interests are in high temperature solid state synthesis, phase analysis, structure determination and 
investigations of optical and electrical properties of inorganic materials especially binary, ternary and quaternary transition metal oxides.

I received my Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Stockholm, Sweden under the supervision of Professor Arne Magneli (deceased) and Professor Lars Kihlborg.
Previously, I received a Diploma from Uppsala University, Sweden; M.Sc and B.Sc (Hons.) from University of DhakaBangladesh in Chemistry.

I served as visiting Professor of Chemistry at different Universities in Sweden, Germany and New Zealand. 

My professional membership includes: 
  • President, Bangladesh Crystallographic Association (BCA) 
  • Council Member, Asian Crystallographic Association (AsCA
  • Life member, Bangladesh Chemical Society (BCS). 
  • General Secretary, Network of Instrument Technical personnel and User scientists of Bangladesh (NITUB)
