Almudena Sánchez Sánchez

I finished my Degree in Mathematics (2009) at the University of Alicante (Alicante, Spain). My teaching and researching vocation led me to start the Master`s Degree in Education and, simultaneously, I became Technical Specialist Data Analysis in R during the academic year 2009-2010 at the University of Castile-La Mancha.

Motivated by my interest in researching, I earned a Master 's Degree in Engineering data Analysis, Process Improvement and Decision Making (2010) in the Department of Statistics and Operations and Quality Research, Universitat Politècnic de València (UPV) in Valencia (Spain). This master's Degree allowed me to develop my Ph.D. (2011-2013). During this period I got three scholarships that helped expand my professional experience as a data analyst and mathematician in studies related to social sciences [CSISP (Centre of Public Health Research (Valencia, Spain)) and IMM (Institute for Multidisciplinary Mathematics (UPV-Valencia, Spain)] and research ending up with the presentation of my doctoral thesis (sep. 2013) with an International Mention (research stay in Germany during three months) and Cum Laude. Thanks to this work, it emerged six JCR-indexed publications Math. and Appl. Math. Moreover, I am also co-authored several book chapters competitive international publishers which accepted and are being edited. Additionally, I have been reviewing research articles in several mathematics journals indexed in JCR-Appl.Math. and I have also participate in several projects in the research group in the Institute for Multidisciplinary Mathematics (IMM) at the UPV and I have co-lead a Master's Degree Thesis in administration. Recently, iI have worked in business management as a research assistant at the University of Jaume I (Castellón, Spain). Nowadays, I am working as a senior mathematical-statistical technical support in a political and economic research project for BBVA-UPO (Sevilla, Spain) and collborating with another research group in UCM (Madrid) in a European project (medical area).

Add the development of teaching material through the publication of several articles and books, as well as giving seminars and directing two final master projects. Highlight that the research developed is strongly oriented to the transfer of knowledge to society. With this motivation and bearing in mind my teaching and research vocation, I joined the private company developing mathematical-statistical tasks applied in different sectors (politics, health, banking, technology...) and leading expert research teams applying knowledge acquired during my training . My professional experience has allowed me to access university teaching at the Catholic University of Avila and, nowadays at the UNIR. Finally, I would like to emphasize that I have improved and continue to work to improve my academic, professional and teaching training, as well as my research experience. My currently area research is focused on Treatment and Analysis Data, Statistical and Mathematical Modelling and Uncertainty Quantification in any area of study.

In addition to my research experience, highlight my experience in private company with senior data scientist roles and project manager in projects of Banco Santander, forming part of the team of employees of EvoBanco S.A. as well as in IBM GBS Spain. Currently, I am working as a professor in UDIMA given classes in he Master´s Degree of Teacher Trainning. Also continue researching in educational sciences and co-leading a Ph.D.
