This looks like a blazing sunset, but it was actually a very foreboding, grey, stormy scene. The clouds had just begun to clear some as the storm fell apart. I used the thermal imaging filter in Picnik to switch the colors to something more like a tropical sunset. The texture is the woodgrain "pirate" texture run both vertically, and horizontally, to look like the image was painted onto wood and crackled.
