Alphabetical by Author is a consultancy established by Michael Hahn in 2002. Michael has twenty years' experience with markup language (SGML and XML) development and implementation. Michael's skills include:

  • Graduated magna cum laude in 1980 from MacMurray College with a BS in Theatre Arts and a minor in English
  • Acted, wrote, designed lighting, and directed for the Jacksonville Theatre Guild in its 1980-1986 seasons

Bell Helicopter (2013 - present)

Senior Systems Integration Development Designer — responsible for administration of the CSDB (Common Source Database) for the 525 project, develops utility and publishing stylesheets in XSLT and XSL-FO for PDF publishing and maintains and develops stylesheets for IETP (Interactive Electronic Technical Publication) publishing.  Michael also assists authors with tagging issues and provides markup and stylesheet expertise to the enterprise.

Bombardier Aerospace/Learjet (2011 - 2013)

Publisher — responsible for development and troubleshooting of XSLT, XSL-FO, and CSS stylesheets in support of PDF and HTML publishing for the Learjet 85 program.  Michael also developed a set of validation and reporting tools for S1000D publications and provides troubleshooting support to the program authors and planners.

Freelance (2009 - present)

Consultant/Writer — responsible for development and troubleshooting of XSLT, XSL-FO, and CSS stylesheets as a subcontractor for three different organizations; wrote an article on markup language analysis and development for IBM developerWorks.
