Today.. Not especially happy with how today went. I mean nothing really bad happened but nothing really good happened either... Let me summerize for u. Ryans text woke me up sometime this morning and I got up and got dressed and read and what not until he got here. Once here we fiddled with his PS3, went to walmart, and then to Chris's. Went back to the house and then back to Chris's to do something with the PS3 cause it wouldnt switch from HDMI back to AV. While there he got called into work, bummer. So I went home and started making his cake, Iv never made an angel food cake before lol it was interesting. I cleaned while baking/cooking. After that was done baking I started the tator tot casserole. Iv never cooked meat before so that was a bit odd.. n I forgot the milk.. n didnt cover it with foil.. So Im sure that sucked, but my cake sure did look nice. He picked them up and headed over to his party thingy. Iv read some more of City of Ashes. Played with Robot. Ate soy chickn nuggets. Yadda yadda yadda. Now for the why it hasnt been a good day part. I got told a couple of things today that really just made me feel bad about myself... I know none of it was directly meant to make me feel this way but Im normally too hard on myself and then hearing things like that just make me feel worse... I really do try, so hard, to just be good enough for everyone. I take things to heart too much, those comments arent meant to hurt me but dammit they hurt and now Im feeling majorly self conscious and cant shake it.. Im normally comfortable in my own skin... Sometimes I really do hate how the female mind works! So Im sitting in my bed, fighting tears, I know I know trust me I know... I just try so hard and always come up short. Other than that my foot really hurts, for the 3rd day in a row and I havent even really been walking that much so Im getting concerned cause the pain normally goes away but its only getting worse. My wrist hurts. My rib hurts. My legs hurt. I cant shake this damn headache Iv had for nights straight. Im tired. I cant sleep. And all I can think about is negative things. Like how I forgot the milk and probably ruined the damn casserole cause Im far too hard on myself.. I just try so damn hard... I wonder if anyone even notices. Sorry for all the self pity, just one of those days I spose. Ill pull myself out of it. My 365 is normally where I vent, I know none of u care but as Iv said before this project is for me and I always feel better after laying it all out there. Im not normally one to "talk" but I dont like keeping it all in, Im just bad with words, bad with talking.. Writing is easier, I can express things easier. So sorry you got stuck listening. Im probably going to go game with Angie tomorrow and Im spose to get to see and possibly game with my Ryan tomorrow so that sounds promising. Gamings good lol more than likely going to play Oblivion, or just keep reading. I like being able to go to a different world from time to time, but the down side is that they tend to take over hours and hours and HOURS of my life lol. Ok ok Im done, sorry sorry sorry! Sticky note time! I was listening to April 26 1992 by Sublime and the end of the song where theyr just listing random locations is my least favorite part but I got to thinking, itd be a lot less annoying if I actually knew anything about those places lol so it got added to the list. This is a very bad picture, I know, but it was kind of just last minute before he left with my gorgeous cake lol. I was quite proud of how pretty it came out :) I love baking, it makes me happy. I hope he liked it. Hoopla!! Oh I have a question for you, more towards anyone who lives here in Cove! The sushi place thats off of 190 that has the creepy Nemo painting on the side.. Theres a light purple octopus making sushi, what movie is he from? Help me out here, cause I know its not the one from Monsters Inc

Since its beginning 50 years ago, Lois the Pie Queen has been more than a restaurant. Lois created family in a public place. One could not help but feel it, because one became part of creating it. If one could minister to the soul with food, then Lois preached a thousand sermons with love she gave in silence. And if love’s a healer, then we were saved, so abundant was the spirit she gave. Lois fed our children. Lois fed our parents, our grandparents and us. We walked in the restaurant smiling; searching for the warmest face on earth; searching for the magic smile she so freely gave, even as she worked. Customers became family, and Lois became “Mom” to many of us. Lois the Pie Queen was and continues to be, a home away from home because of Lois’ spirit and love.

Lois, the eldest of nine children, learned to cook at an early age. her mother, Mathilda Cleveland, taught Lois how to make what would become her signature creation: fresh pies. She and her mother were often called upon by her father, Bishop E.E. Cleveland, to bake pies for fundraisers. After graduating from high school, Lois and her sister Bernice worked long hours for a catering company, often making 3,000 sandwiches a day.

Later with family support, Lois and her husband Roland, himself a cook in a San Francisco restaurant, opened their first restaurant on Sacramento Street in Berkeley, California. Due to the notoriety of her pies within the church community her husband named her, and the restaurant, “Lois the Pie Queen.” Lois' restaurant experienced tremendous success and was able to expand to a second location. The restaurant’s phenomenal reputation was built upon specialties like short-ribs, candied yams, cornbread muffins, black-eyed peas, chicken and waffles, peach cobbler, sweet potato pies, buttermilk biscuits, and even better grits than you could make at home. And after 22 years in business, Lois the Pie Queen moved to its present location, where it has been considered as a candidate for Historical Landmark designation.

The tradition of quality product and service that Lois started is carried on today by her son Chris Davis and his staff. Under his direction, Lois the Pie Queen’s family has grown to serve a new generation with “Food that Warms the Soul.”
