I was raised in Shelby County, Alabama, in the town of Calera. I attended the public high school, a local church, and was active in many endeavors outside of school. After high school, I attended the University of Alabama @ Birmingham (UAB) for 3 years, until I joined the U.S. Navy in 1988. It was through the Navy that I completed my course work for a BS degree.
During my time in the Navy, as an Navy (FMF) Corpsman with the U.S. Marines, that I really learned the values of true leadership, honor, courage, and commitment. Serving in Operation Desert Shield & Storm, as well as Somalia, I also learned by spending time with some of the finest Marines to ever walk the face of the earth. I also learned what true heroism is. I've have had the privilege of seeing Marines and Sailors, who were willing to risk their lives defending the ideals that create our United States. I've also experienced the pain associated with knowing some of those same Marines, who not only risked their lives, but also lost them while trying to protect their fellow warriors. Some career politicians brag about having an ability to stand against opposition, yet they got their experience while standing in an air-conditioned office or House/Senate floor. In zones of conflict, we learned what it truly meant to stand strong in the face of opposition...even if that opposition was threatening our very lives. This is leadership experience that cannot be taught through books, or even when someone simply disagrees with your point of view. This is a lesson that can only be learned by being in the fight, and standing strong.

After my time serving in the military, I went into a sales career. I've been promoted to Sales Management and Service Management positions, as well as Multi-unit and District Sales/Service Management opportunities.  I've faced this economy as a small business owner and understand the challenges that other small business owners face. These experiences have made me uniquely qualified to hold the office for which I am running, as I have the real world experience that career/long-term politicians can only speak about.

In my life, I have been blessed beyond my imagination. In fact, in spite of my best efforts, God has still blessed me with a beautiful wife, three awesome children, two cats, and a host of family and friends. My wife and I serve as children's soccer and basketball coaches, are active in our church, home school our children, and love to spend time outdoors. I understand the issues that face families throughout Alabama, because WE are a family just like yours. We are the family that career politicians talk about, when they say husbands and wives are sitting at the kitchen table and working through their budget. We are main street, we are your neighbors next door. I see you in line at the supermarket, or in the local discount store. You speak to me at the post office, or as you are walking into a high school football game. We may even have lunch at the same local diner after church. In short, I am just like you.

If there are three things that I want you to know about me, they would be:

1. I am every man's conservative, facing the very same issues that you deal with on a daily basis.

2. I want to, and will work tirelessly to, restore our Constitution as the measure for all bills and votes.

3. I am NOT owned by banking conglomerates, large corporations, or special interest groups. I will only SERVE THE PEOPLE.
At some point, WE THE PEOPLE must do something different at the ballot box.  Do you really believe that sending an incumbent back, after he publicly acknowledges that he voted AGAINST the view of 98% of the voters in his district (TARP) would be a smart move?  Do you really think that sending a career politician who voted himself a huge pay raise at the state level, would be a good move?  REALLY?  Folks, our state is $800,000,000 in the red this year.  The U.S. is 1,600,000,000,000 in the hole, just this year alone.  Do we really believe sending a 14 year state legislator, or a 20 year U.S. Congressman would be good idea?  Especially considering how in debt we are, and how long they have been in office?   We MUST do something different at the ballot box this year, or we may not get the chance at a later date.

Now, with all of that being said, I would like to remind you of just one more thought. Years ago, when I took the oath to "defend the Constitution of the United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic", I never thought I would see the day that our domestic enemies would be more dangerous than our foreign ones. Well, today, that day is here. For far too long, career politicians at every government level (city, county, state, and federal) have ignored at best, our U.S. Constitution. They have also ignored WE, THE PEOPLE. I've heard it said that the definition of insanity, is doing the same thing repeatedly, expecting a different result. And today, we have a clear choice in this primary race, for Alabama's 6th Congressional District. We can elect someone with real life experience, who understands the issues that the common Alabama family face...Or we can once again elect career/long-term politicians, who have proven that they are not in the business of truly serving the people, nor upholding the Constitution of the United States. The choice is yours. However, I ask you, is your children's future worth the gamble of once again allowing power hungry politician to go to Washington to pretend to truly represent OUR voice? This is YOUR campaign, with YOUR vote, shouting YOUR voice to all the nation. YOU are the key, and YOU are the boss. it is YOU who is in power!!!

P.S. please go to, or simply click on the donate button on this site,  and make a donation to this campaign...YOUR campaign.  Due to 2012 being the year that WE THE PEOPLE take back our government, maybe you could donate $20.12, or maybe $20.12 for each member of your family?  Some of you might even be able to donate $201.20, or even $2012.00.  Any donation, of any amount is greatly appreciated.  We work to be good stewards of these funds and run this campaign as frugally as possible.  THANK YOU in advance for your generous support.
