Watergate is a scenic, water accessible community in Annapolis, Maryland, on Thomas Point Road between the South River and Fishing Creek. The community was established in the 1960s and has sixty-one individually built homes, of which thirty-three are waterfront. For those homes that do not have direct water access, there is a newly rebuilt community pier with 31 slips with water and electricity and provision for boat lifts. The pier is part of a large community recreational area that includes a pavilion, basketball court, swings, and a small beach with picnic tables. Our community recreational area fronts on Fishing Creek with a direct view of the historic Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse. Watergate is a family friendly community, which hosts several social events each year, including an annual crab feast, happy hour socials, a Halloween party, and an annual holiday party.
Watergate’s location and nearby amenities truly offer its residents a wonderful lifestyle.
Thomas Point State Park is within walking distance of the community, and Historic Downtown Annapolis and the U.S. Naval Academy are just a quick 10 minute drive. Quiet Waters Park, a 340-acre waterfront park on South River, is also only a few minutes.
