Rivera Returns to Yankees

According to the Bergen Record, Mariano Rivera will officially finish his career as a Yankee.  After all of the offseason posturing, Rivera finally came to his senses and signed a 3 year, 45 Million dollar contract, which makes him the highest paid closer in the history of baseball.  And yes, he is 38 years old.  Really, he should have been offered a 2 year deal with an option for the third year.  It sounds like he would have taken it too:

"Either way, Rivera would have returned to the Yankees. 'He would have taken two years and an option,' the firend said, adding that Rivera did not really want a fourth year. "
