Prior to joining the faculty of ULM in 2006, I taught at the University of Missouri - Columbia in the Biology Department. I held two post-doc positions prior to teaching, one with the Maize Genome Database and the other in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology.
Through those experiences, I found that my research interest truly lies at the level of cellular biology. My current research combines my interest of plant growth, microbial infection and phage therapy. I am studying the abnormal growth that occurs in plants infected with Agrobacterium tumefaciens. More recently my lab has begun to isolate and investigate the phages of Agrobacterium spp.
If you have an interest in joining my lab, please contact me.
