Assistant Professor of Biology

University of Louisiana at Monroe

Prior to joining the faculty of ULM in 2006, I taught at the University of Missouri in Columbia in the Biology Department.  I also held two different post-doc positions, one with the Maize Genome Database and the other in the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology.

Both of these experiences solidified my interest in cellular biology, specifically looking at cellular changes that occur when growth is perturbed.

My current research interests include the control of growth and form in plants and the interaction plants have with microorganisms.   I enjoy using microscopic techniques to assay growth, abnormalities, viral plaque formation and biofilm formation.

If you have an interest in joining my lab, please contact me.
