Maserati Ghilbi Cup (1995-96) Engine 1996cc V6 DOHC Twin Turbo Production 31 Based on the Maserati Ghilbi II (1992-97). The Ghilbi Open Cup was a single make race series run during 1995 and 1996, featuring these specially built racing cars. The cars featured improved power through roller bearing turbos, freer flowing exhaust and re-mapped fuel computers. The weight was trimmed with carbon fibre, trimmed interior, aluminium pedals and a MOMO steering wheel, racing suspension and Brembo brakes. For the first season 25 cars were built, for 1996 the cars were offered an upgrade and 6 addition cars were built, this being on of them.This car was raced in the series by Gianni Giudici. Today it often appears in Historic racing in the UK driven by Glenn Butt and Nigel McMorrough Shot at the Classic and MPH Show, NEC, Birmingham 13.11.2010. Ref 66-159
