Doug Waugh has been named General Manager of the Allen Event Center, scheduled to open in the fall of 2009. Mr. Waugh most recently was employed by Center Operating Company, which manages the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining the staff at the American Airlines Center, Mr. Waugh was Director of Operations for Spurs Sports and Entertainment, which operates the SBC Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Doug Waugh says, “I am excited to have the opportunity to partner with the City of Allen and Global Entertainment for this new facility. Our goal will be to create a bright spot that gives our guests a chance to escape into the magic and lasting memories that live entertainment creates.”
