This is a very small google site about my chessboard program I wrote using the allegro library.
The chessboard is my favorite pattern. I could probably go on a long rant about that, but the important thing to know is that it is extremely easy to write a program to create a chessboard, or even to draw it in a typical image editor. It's so popular that the GIMP has a filter to generate it!

A checkerboard is an alternate name for it since it's used in the board game checkers as well as chess.

Below I've attached the C source and a Linux executable I compiled on Debian Linux. The command to compile is at
the top of the source in a comment.
