Welcome to these pages. I am Professor of Information and Learning at Nottingham Trent University with a particular interest in the notion of information literacy in the context of ICT-enabled organizational systems. I am particularly interested in the application of ideas from critical realism to this domain, and to organizational theory more generally. I also have interests in the history of management, particularly as these relate to church governance practices, and in the history of architecture, particularly as related to changes in administrative practice. I use these pages to supplement the 'official' information on me, which you might have found in these places:

Here I want to
- let you know about forthcoming work and current projects
- give some information about work which I produce which is not directly related to my academic work
Family history: Rayne (Aberdeenshire) and Fulbeck (Lincolnshire)
- tell you some personal stuff.
I am fascinated by a number of aspects of the world that I enjoy writing and talking about. Some of these fit well with my work related activities, others may seem to have no connection at all!
