Our recommended hotel (and the place we’ll be staying) is Tenaya Lodge. This is just outside the south entrance to Yosemite, but about an hour drive from Yosemite Valley (where we’ll be having the reception).

If possible, we recommend staying at Tenaya for at least Saturday night, since we'll be providing transportation from here. There are other options, including camping and hotels in Oakhurst, Mariposa, and El Portal (see "Hotel (Other)" page), which would work just fine for Friday night, or any other extra nights you'd like to stay.

Here's why we recommend Tenaya:
  • Easy to coordinate with everyone in the same place, especially when cell phone reception is very poor
  • Large enough to accommodate a big group
  • Less expensive than The Ahwahnee Hotel (reception location)
  • No valley lodging rules (e.g. quiet hours after 10pm)
  • All the amenities of a modern resort hotel (spa, restaurants, bar, pool, etc)
