Prior to coming to Stirling, I held postdoctoral positions at the Universities of Barcelona, Warwick and Edinburgh. I completed my PhD in philosophy at the University of Edinburgh with a thesis titled 'The concept of self: thinking of oneself as a subject of thought'.

My research interests are primarily in the philosophy of mind, and include perception and the senses, self-consciousness, action, self-knowledge, as well as philosophy of psychology.

Between 2011 and 2013 I was a member of The (Un)Bound Body Project: Exploring the constraints of embodiment and the limits of body representation, funded by VolkswagenStiftung European Platform for the Life Sciences, Mind Sciences and the Humanities.
