I am an enthusiastic teacher with experience teaching college composition, English as a second language, and introduction to nonfiction writing. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire MFA program for nonfiction writing. My thesis is a book-length manuscript about an evangelical Christian church in Dover, New Hampshire. I currently write for a local weekly, The Wire.

My work as a teaching assistant has earned me a departmental teaching award and a summer research grant. I have also completed a cognate in college teaching, studying constructivist classroom teaching and incorporating writing in content-based courses. Teaching is a passion of mine, and I am always looking for new techniques and practices to use in the classroom.

I have previously worked in publishing and education management. I believe strongly in constructivist education, especially in using students' own writing experiences and expertise to build writing skills.
