About us
Formed in 1998 now with over 40 members and going strong.
The aim of the society is a friendly game of golf, with a competitive edge. The overall objective though is to enjoy your golf, the company that you are in and have a good craich.
Our invitation to you
If you are interested in a game of friendly golf, roughly once a fortnight, at a different course each time, why not come along. Firstly as a guest to see if its for you, if it is, membership is cheap.
How The A.N.G.S. Works
Our season runs from March through to November.
Playing once a fortnight, at different courses, variety is the spice of life, and playing under a variety of formats.
First game of the season is a Texas scramble, one game is a 4 ball, better ball, Ryder Cup style, Mr Captain v Mr Chairman The majority of games are stableford matches, the staple diet of golfers every where. Thrown into the agenda will be a pairs match, and a Captains weekend at a hotel & golf complex. The final game of the season is the Turkey Trot, played as a team competition, where you bring a present and take home a present.
Headquarters are at the Pack Horse Bowling Club. Macclesfield This is where the committee meet once a month to deal with matters arising and organising details for forthcoming events.
Any member is welcome to attend if they so desire.
