Meet the 2017-2018 Team

President: Sadia Ehsan
"I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, volunteering/charity work, and baking! Professionally, I work as an IT Program Manager and oversee multiple projects. Contact me if you have fresh new ideas on how PTO can continue to enhance and support AFA's mission. I would love to hear your thoughts!"

Vice President: Maria Arshad
"I have 3 children.  My favorite hobby is to cook fresh and different kinds of food for my children, spending time with them and painting henna.  I also love helping out our school because it makes me happy that I am giving back something to our community and makes my children happy."

Secretary: Mahwish Hamlani
"I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my kids. Please reach out to me if you're interested in helping with the Restaurant Nights and other engagement improvement ideas for AFA PTO.

Treasurer: Abida Bhatti
"We joined Al Fatih last year.  What I appreciate most about AFA is the dedicated staff and the sense of community here. Last year I enjoyed volunteering at field trips and class events, so I decided to join the PTO and hope to continue to give back to AFA.  Professionally, I have been in HR for over 10 years. For fun, I love the outdoors, traveling and spending time with my family!"

Communications Coordinator: Nila Amin
"Alhamdullilah, I am a mother of twobeautiful little girls. I also am a Systems Administrator for a federalcontractor. Besides loving to be with my family, I love reading...that is my "me" time.  Last year I was a room parent for K-P and enjoyed distributing pizza on Mondays.  Seeing how excited my girls were to see me around their school, is what made me decide to join the PTO" school, is what made me decide to join the PTO."

Volunteer Coordinator: Amnah Taufique

"This is our family's second year at Al Fatih Academy. My husband Owais and I have four boys. I'm very excited to be part of the PTO this year! Feel free to reach out to me if you need some ideas on how to complete your volunteer hours or are looking for opportunities to be involved in the school!"
