This pages gives a plotting "exam"
Get a 1,000 yard plotting sheet (a real paper one) and a pencil and then click the link below
This will give you a reconstuction of a 2&15 shoot for which you are the plotter.
The screen will cycle through the shots, showing what you would see through your telescope. When the target is in the butts being marked, you will see a blank page on which will be written what the coach is saying to you (wind and elevation changes)
You do not need to do anything on the screen until you get to the end - the system will step through all the shots automatically.
The coach is making the elvation changes - you just need to plot them.
The coach calls absolute wind ("3 left" is a true 3 left and not an increase of 3 on the last shot, for instance) but will call changes in elevation (eg "up a quarter")
The challenge to you is to plot the shoot fully, completing wind and elevation graphs as well, while keeping up with the fast shooting. If you cannot do it all in the available time, it is up to you to decide what to miss in order to do the best plot you can and still keep up.
