I am broadly interested in marine conservation and fisheries management of commercially important fish species.  My academic research has focused on application of genetic data to fisheries management and marine policy impacting fishes that aggregate to spawn.  More recently, I have focused on increasing management flexibility and applying innovative solutions to advance domestic and international fisheries management of highly migratory fish stocks.

I am currently a Fisheries Project Director with the Fisheries Team at the California Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, where will be developing strategy on revitalizing the U.S. west coast swordfish fishery and advancing our policy engagement in California state fisheires.
