Alex Hsu is an assistant professor of finance in the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds bachelor's and Master degrees from Brown University and a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Michigan. His research focus is on asset pricing, investment, and macroeconomic. His papers use theoretical models to examine the impact of monetary policy and fiscal policy on equity returns and interest rate term structure. Empirically, He is interested in the effect of government policy and legislation on firm outcomes such as returns and investment in the cross-section. He teaches a Ph.D. course on the theory of finance and fixed income to undergraduate and Master's students.
