The Alexandria Township Education Foundation is set to kick off our second annual Fun Run!  As a reminder, last year the Fun Run took the place of our springtime fundraiser, the Wine Tasting and Silent Auction, so this is our big fundraising event for the year!!  The money raised during this event will be used by the Foundation to fund teacher requested grants to enhance the education in our district so please consider the fact that this is a fast moving event with only a week to collect sponsor pledges

Further specific details about the Fun Run will come home with your children on Tuesday, October 13th.   We heard your feedback last year and we are working hard to make the event better every year.
Here is the proposed schedule for this year’s races:

AMS: Wednesday October 21

Grades 4-5

Grades 6-8-New this year…a Color Run!

LDW: Thursday October 22nd

Grades Pre-K – 3rd

In the event of rain on the 21st for the Color Run, we will swap dates with LDW for the 22nd if the weather looks better on that date.  Stay tuned for more details.

The Ed Foundation would like to thank you for your participation in this fundraiser!  We would not be able to provide these wonderful grants to our teachers if we did not have such an active community of parents who support the efforts that benefit all the children in LDW and AMS!  Your generosity does not go unnoticed!

These are some grants that have been funded by the ATEF (Ed Foundation):  Da Vinci Science Grants, Keyboards for music, AMS sound system, SmartMusic, Fairview Yearbooks, Family Reading Night, Water, Water, Water – a Franklin Institute Preschool Program, Colonial Alexandria, 3-BE Book Club, Weather Tour with John Marshall, Sensory Experiences, Dance Team Costumes, and the LDW HUGGS School Garden.  You can see all of our grants by visiting our website:  http://www.atefnj.org

We thank you for your participation and pledge collections!
