0. Who I am?

Assistant Professor in the Information and Communication Faculty in the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). PhD in Chemistry at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) (2003) and BSc in Information Science at the UOC (2003). For over ten years he has been a Lecturer in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He is the director of the BSc in Information and Documentation in the UOC, where he also coordinates the final dissertations /TFG). He has been involved in several research projects and published in important journals. His teaching areas includes political communication, content curation, preservation of digital objects and lobbyism. He has been a member of Maredata, the spanish network of open research data.

He is member of the Knowledge and Information Management in Organisations (KIMO) research group in the UOC and a collaborator in the Grupo de investigación en aprendizajes, medios y entretenimiento (GAME). His interests are based on information sources and their evolution in the Internet, including electronic journals, open access and legal aspects of digital information. Within KIMO, my research focus are the changes in the way research is carried out regarding Open Science: e-research, Big Science, megajournals, Open Data, and other aspects related to how science and research are changing. His current research is focused on Open Science, as a member of the project “Ciencia abierta en España” (RTI2018-094360-B-I00) funded by the Programa Estatal de I+D+I del Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades.
