Hello and Welcome
This website serves to showcase my coursework and professional skills that I have gained as an MLIS student at Valdosta State University and in the working world.

About Me
I am a Fall 2021 MLIS graduate with a concentration in Youth Services. I have an undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Theater from Cazenovia College. My background may seem a bit out of the ordinary, but my heart has always been with the library from a young age. I just took a longer route to the path of a future library professional!
I look forward to eventually obtaining a position as a Youth Services Librarian, building diverse collections and creating enriching and fun programs for children and teens. Libraries are an informal extension of education and I find it most gratifying when you can influence youth in a positive direction, no matter how small. I believe that the more positive interaction you can provide to the youth of a community, the more likely they will be to continue to come back to libraries as they age and continue the cycle with their own family.
