Dear Sisters,

It is a great pleasure to serve Delta Beta Chapter again as your president.  The friendships I have made in this chapter and around the state are a source of great satisfaction for me.   During her biennium, President Ann Jones led us on a journey through all the countries around the world in which DKG has chapters. As we begin this school year, I hope our journey together within this sisterhood will continue to be both informative for us personally and a means of service to others as well.  Our dedication to serving education as well as the local community is something to be proud of.  The wide expanse of DKG's influence in teachers' lives around the globe is an example of how to make a difference, one step and one teacher at a time.  I look forward to the programs and projects planned for this year--not just the ones that are designed to inform and educate us on some issue, but also those we do just because they are fun and we enjoy the company of our DKG sisters.

May this year be a blessing for each of us, Delta Beta, and all our DKG sisters  around the globe!!

Delta Beta Chapter welcomed DHR Foster Care Liaison Heather Evans as our guest speaker on November 8.  She provided the members with information on how the system operates in Alabama and what citizens can do to to help support the program as well as the children for whom this agency was established.
