Automatic Water Shut Off Valves

automatic water shut off valves
    automatic water
  • (Automatic Watering) Watering system controlled by computerised controller
    shut off
  • block off the passage through; "We shut off the valve"
  • stem the flow of; "shut off the gas when you leave for a vacation"
  • isolate or separate; "She was shut off from the friends"
  • (valve) a structure in a hollow organ (like the heart) with a flap to insure one-way flow of fluid through it
  • A device for controlling the passage of fluid through a pipe or duct, esp. an automatic device allowing movement in one direction only
  • A membranous fold in a hollow organ or tubular structure, such as a blood vessel or the digestive tract, that maintains the flow of the contents in one direction by closing in response to any pressure from reverse flow
  • (valve) control consisting of a mechanical device for controlling the flow of a fluid
  • A cylindrical mechanism in a brass instrument that, when depressed or turned, admits air into different sections of tubing and so extends the range of available notes
  • (valve) device in a brass wind instrument for varying the length of the air column to alter the pitch of a tone

Automatic Container Watering System
Automatic Container Watering System
Automatic container watering system. The glass bottle needs to be suspended with the bottom down. The tube needs to go streight down. This small container is to be put in the bottom of the container filled with compost. The 1/8th inch tube goes into a medicine bottle. It has two holes drilled on the sides at the top, and the bottom of the bottle, which is at the top, has a hole drilled for the 1/8th inch tube. This works like a chicken watering jar. When the water goes down past the tube it lets air go back up into the bottle. With the air in the bottle now water can flow down the tube. Just like holding your finger over a straw. When you let air enter the tube the water drains out of the straw. A plastic milk bottle will not work. It will collapse. The tube can be inserted down into the pipe used for checking the water level. Just keep it up 2 inches from the bottom.
Earthbox Garden
Earthbox Garden
This is my Earthbox garden. I have 14 boxes with the automatic irrigation system. I have 3 types of squash, 1 box of cucumbers (because I find that they are extremely prolific and 1 box produces more than I can eat), 1 box of peas, 1 box of beans, and 8 boxes of various types of tomatos(mostly rarer ones you dont find at the grocery).
