We have found the addition of a Japanese Language and Culture program to our school to be highly beneficial not only to the students who study Japanese but to the school as a whole.  It has enriched the school from a cultural perspective with such events as a Japanese drum performance for the entire school, and school wide assembly to welcome and greet our partner students from Sapporo, Japan.   Offering Japanese Language and Culture programs is also a cultural fit for a growing segment of our population that have an interest in Japanese culture, or whose families already speak another language.
