The 2011-2016 Outlook for Dental Professional Equipment in Japan
This econometric study covers the latent demand outlook for dental professional equipment across the prefectures and cities of Japan. Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given across some 1,000 cities in Japan. For each city in question, the percent share the city is of it's prefecture and of Japan is reported. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a city vis-a-vis others. This statistical approach can prove very useful to distribution and/or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each prefecture and city, latent demand estimates are created for dental professional equipment. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved.

This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the cities in Japan). This study gives, however, my estimates for the latent demand, or the P.I.E., for dental professional equipment in Japan. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided and concentrated across the cities and regional markets of Japan. For each prefecture, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time. In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on strategic planning at graduate schools of business.

With The Advocate., Which Also Had The Claim To Fame Of Being Britain's Very First Production 35mm Camera in 1949. It Also Had A Most Unusual Cream Baked-Enamel Finish, Which It Reputedly Got Because An Associate Company Called Kennedy Instruments Ltd, Actually Designed It For Ilford. When You Consider That Kennedy Instruments Were Better Known For Making Dental Equipment, The Cream Enamel Aspect Becomes More Obvious. I Remember As A Kid, Sitting In A Dentist's Chair Back In The 50s, Surrounded By All Manner Of Cream Baked-Enamel Torture Instruments ..... The Agilux Agimatic And Agima Also Share Something Uncommon, In That Everything In Them Was Made In-House By Either Agilux Or Another Of Its Parent Company AGI's Subsidiaries. Visually, They Differ Somewhat. The Agimatic Is Quite A Cutie, Packing A Lot Of Features Into A Remarkably Compact Package. However, The Agima Is Just Plain Ugly To My Biased Eyes. It Reminds Me Of Those Awful Looking Bulbous Baldas Or Vile Voigtlanders From The Early 60s .... Both Cameras Had Removable Lenses, But The Only Alternative Optic Was An 85mm F5.5 Telephoto/Portrait Which Is As Rare As Rocking-Horse Droppings Today. (For Some Reason, Agilux Didn't Seem To Like Wide-Angle Lenses.) Both Cameras Had Inbuilt Ways Of Catering For That 85mm Lens In Their Viewfinders. The Agimatic Used A Crude Sliding Mask Which Made Its Small VF Even Tinier, But The Agima Had An Oversized VF With Separate Frame Markings, Similar To The System Used On The AGFA Ambi-Silette. Both The Agimatic And Agima Had A Combined Quick-Action Shutter Wind/Release Lever, With A Long Initial Movement To Wind The Film On And Cock The Shutter, Followed By A Second Short One To Trip It. Quite Clever Really, When You Consider That There Were Still 35mm Cameras Around In The 50s With Knob Film Wind And Separate Shutter Cocking Movements. Prices In Britain? In 1953, The New Series 11 Advocate Cost GBP 30 - 1 - 10d incl ERC, Compared To The Original Model's GBP 25 - 15 - 10d Back In 1950. The Agimatic Cost GBP 22 - 7 - 6d In 1958, Compared To GBP 19 - 7 - 6d For The Agima In 1961. However, You Have To Consider The Effect Of Purchase Tax Included In Those Prices, Which Was Cripplingly High In The Early 50s But had Reduced Somewhat By The Early 60s.

USS GERMANTOWN is the second WHIDBEY ISLAND class dock landing ship and was the first ship in the class to serve in the Pacific. The amphibious assault ship's mission is to project power ashore by transporting and launching amphibious craft and vehicles loaded with embarked Marines in support of an amphibious assault. The ship was designed specifically to operate with Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vessels. It has the largest capacity for these landing craft (four) of any US Navy amphibious platform. Germantown can render limited docking and repair service to small ships and craft. It's class of ship provides for greater storage space of weapons and equipment, improved facilities for embarked troops, and greater range of operations. The ship incorporates material handling equipment including elevators, package/roller conveyors, and forklifts, pallet transporters, and a turntable for vehicles and equipment during loading/offloading operations. Her flight deck can support the landing, refueling, and launching of any type of Naval or Marine helicopter. During amphibious operations, Germantown has the capability to serve as Primary Control Ship. Germantown is an extremely versatile, capable platform, ready to handle a myriad of tasks and secondary missions. The capability of Naval forces to quickly and effectively extract beleaguered civilians from inhospitable areas has made the Navy and Marine Corps team the force of choice to conduct Non-combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO). The ship can carry and deliver hundreds of tons of relief materials to victims within hours of arrival on the scene. She has been fitted with state of the art medical and dental facilities. This capability enables Germantown to serve not only as a ship of war, but also as a ship of peace. The Navy ordered USS GERMANTOWN March 26, 1982. Four years later, on Feb. 8, 1986, the ship was commissioned. It played a significant role during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. The ship participated in mock amphibious assaults in the United Arab Emirates after the start of the air war in preparation for a possible amphibious assault. On August 16, 2002, USS HARPERS FERRY relieved USS GERMANTOWN as a forward deployed naval unit in Sasebo, Japan. Germantown returned to San Diego, where she underwent a $25 million overhaul. One year later, the ship deployed to the Arabian Gulf as part of Expeditionary Strike Group One. Germantown supported Operation Iraqi Freedom by landing Marines and equipment from the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
