Short Bio:
    Alexandros Lazaridis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1981. He graduated (Dipl.-Ing) in September of 2005 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his PhD in February of 2011 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras, Greece. His fields of research include Speech Processing, Voice Conversion, Speech Synthesis and Speech Prosody. His published work consists of more than 35 publications in scientific journals, book chapters and international conferences. 
    After he received his PhD (Feb. 2011) and for two years he was a Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Patras and at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In parallel, he was a Lecturer at the University of Western Macedonia, at the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and at the Technological Educational Institute of Serres. From November of 2012 to October of 2015 he was a Post-doctoral Researcher at Idiap Research Institute in Martigny, Switzerland, working on SIWIS project. From November 2015  he is a Research Associate (Scientific Collaborator) at Idiap Research Institute working on Automatic Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis and Prosody Modelling, working on SUMMA project. Since January of 2017, he is working on Automatic Speech Recognition and Keyword Search (spotting) on English, High German and Swiss German languages in an Idiap's collaborative project with Swisscom. Since September 2017, he is the Speech Processing Director of the Data, Analytics & AI (DNA) Group at Swisscom (AG).
