my PhD thesis. I worked under Professor Carl Michal (UBC Physics), finishing in December 2018. In non-technical language, my research aimed to improve MRI scans of the brain. In particular, I was interested at improving detection of myelin, the tissue that degrades in diseases like MS. Getting more technical, I studied brain tissue with solid state NMR, looking at T1 relaxation and inhomogeneous Magnetization Transfer (ihMT).
