On-Going Programs and Reading Clubs at the Library:


Book Clubs: kids in grades 1-8 may join either beginning, intermediate or advanced book club. Click on this link for details.

Homework Coaching: kids in grades K-5 may receive free homework help at all three branches of the Alameda Free Library-- weekdays from October through April, from 3:30-5:00. Click on this link for details.

Paws to Read: kids in grades 1-5 read to dogs at the Main Library and West End branch. Click on this link for details.

Storytimes: come hear a librarian bring a book(s) to life. We have storytimes for babies/ toddlers, preschoolers,  and school-age children. Click on this link for details.

Lego Days: The Library hosts two or three Lego days each month for children in grade 2 and above. Click on this link for details about when and where. 

Thursday Crafts: The Library hosts two craft days (that take place on Thursdays) each month for kids in grade K-5. Click on this link for details about when and  where.

Canciones y Cuentos : On the first and third Saturday of the month at 10:30, the West End Library hosts a bi-lingual storytime for Toddlers with songs and stories in Spanish. Click on this link for details about dates and time.

Community Sing AlongMondays and Wednesdays 10:15-11 a.m., Main Library. Infants and toddlers, along with their parents and caregivers, will join in 45 minutes of parent-led singing, dancing, shaker play, and parachute time.
