Book Clubs
Kids in grades 1-8 may join either beginning, intermediate or advanced book club. 

Homework Coaching
Kids in grades K-5 may receive free homework help at all three branches of the Alameda Free Library weekdays from October through May, from 3:30-5:00.

Come hear a librarian bring books to life. We have storytimes for babies/toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten
This free program encourages you to read 1000 books with your child before he or she enters school. Sign up at any of the branches.

Lego Days
The Library hosts two or three Lego days each month for children in grade 2 and above. 

Thursday Crafts
The Library hosts two craft days each month for children in grade K-5. 

Monday and Wednesday mornings at the Main Library.

Children in grades K-5 are invited to the library to read their favorite books to certified therapy dogs. Registration is required.
