Petri Dish 100x15mm with Cover ~ Glass
This flat, clear Corning® petri dish is made from Soda Lime Silica glass and will withstand repeated sterilization (wet or dry). Approximate dish bottom diameter and height is 95x17mm. The edges are beaded to provide greater mechanical strength. The bead also provides a means to equally space the side walls of the bottom and cover, thereby reducing the capillary action of the condensed moisture on the sides. They are not affected chemically or thermally by any of the methods commonly employed in laboratories where sterilization is routinely used. The covered dish is not airtight. Bottoms also have a triangular enamel reference point for serial dilutions.

The thermal expansion of Soda Lime Glass is 93.5 x 10-7 cm/cm/?C. The normal service temperature is 110?C and the extreme service temperature is 460?C. This dish is not designed for rapid thermal shock. The Corning® brand Petri Dishes should be viewed as a low cost alternative to Pyrex® brand Petri Dishes which are made from low expansion (32.5 x 10-7 cm/cm/?C) borosilicate glass.

This hotel was unique,.. but after five days on the Silver Whisper Cruise Ship,.. it seemed like a hole in the wall. It was not clean and the staff seemed to preoccupied to be helpful. I do not like to give bad reviews,.. but there wasn't even a curtain on our shower. In order to not completely flood the bathroom,.. we had to huddle up close to the shower wall under the shower nozzle. We tried not to flood the bathroom,.. but without a curtain,.. it was impossible. This scenario obviously took place many times before us,.. because the floor and wall caulking was black with mold and mildew. The room had not been clean thoroughly in quite some time so it was hard to get comfortable for sleep. On top of all the problems with our room,... during breakfast at the hotel restaurant,.. I discovered a ten inch long hair in my scrambled eggs. The public patio area was filthy and impossible to review positively. This boutique hotel in downtown Copenhagen fall short of our expectations and we would not suggest anyone stay there unless you have very low expectations. See their own webpage description below. "First Hotel Skt. Petri is Copenhagen’s leading design hotel. This unique hotel offers personal, highly professional service, and provides superb venues for meetings, conferences, product launches and fashion shows. The Brasserie features modern French-inspired cuisine and the cocktail lounge is among the city’s most exclusive. First Hotel Skt. Petri is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter and its downtown boutique shopping"

The Complete Guide To Painting Water
From Puddles to Oceans ... every painter's guide to capturing the magic of water!
Years of studying, painting and sailing on water have given Bert Petri an intimate understanding of this celebrated subject. In this book, he shares everything you need to know to paint enchanting yet realistic water scenes - from tranquil reflections to tumultuous white water, from a single dewdrop to the high drama of the open sea.
24 step-by-step demonstrations cover a wide variety of seasons and settings, including ponds, puddles, streams, rivers, lakes, oceans, waterfalls, even fountains and water in still life.
Includes instruction on how to paint elements common to waterscapes, such as rocks, shorelines, bridges and boats.
Features instruction and inspiring artwork in oils, acrylics and watercolor.
This book teaches techniques for painting based on the nature of water itself (how it reflects and refracts light, how it moves, how waves are born and more), making it a comprehensive and valuable reference for artists working in any style or medium.
