This part of a personal home page is the most difficult to write. How do you present yourself and what moves, affects, irritates and drives you without showing off too much or making a complete fool of yourself? But then again, isn't this what a personal home page is all about?

A recurring theme in the kind of positions that I've been hired on since I received my PhD is that it is difficult to describe them and that there is a consequently a bit of a disconnect between the formal job title and the work that i am doing. Over the years I have been referred to as "curator", "cyber-engineer", "resource", "jack of all trades", "good samaritan", "enforcer", "bad cop" and many other things.
