Welcome to the 8th Annual Inter-University Symposium on Infrastructure Management (AISIM)!

The exchange of information and knowledge in Infrastructure Management is critical to finding more effective and efficient methods of retaining initial investment value. Engineers and scientists, together with administrators around the world are continually analyzing the state-of-the-art and the state-of-the-practice, searching for innovative solutions to manage assets. The 8th AISIM is an informal forum for graduate students and their faculty from various institutions to share what they are researching with colleagues in the same field.

This year, AISIM is scheduled for June 8 to 9, 2012 at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. The goal of this student-run symposium is to advance the Infrastructure Management body of knowledge and applications through information exchange and conversations, which will be in either poster or oral presentation format. Topics may come from any area in Infrastructure Management such as resource allocation, strategy and implementation, etc. Graduate students and faculty currently investigating infrastructure management are encouraged to participate. However, all presenters will be students, except the keynote speaker. All faculty members and practitioners are encouraged to attend the symposium, and make contributions through questions, comments and discussions or participation in the panel evaluating the presentations for awards.
