This paper expands upon past works in airfare pricing determinants by looking at a set of airports infrequently studied as a whole group by themselves, the hubs. The nature of hub-to-hub markets makes them unique and while they are unique in some aspects certain trends affecting all commercial air transportation markets are also seen affecting hub-to-hub markets. Pricing in hub-to-hub markets in the United States is examined and then on a carrier-by-carrier basis. Pricing in hub-to-hub markets is affected by a number of statistically significant variables including route type, presence and type of low fare carrier, and competition in hub-to-hub markets.

Someone needs to be reminded of happiness and love. I found this old photo of Xe and I - out of focus but too cute. .....I'm still not sure if I'll get out. I'm texting a friend of sadandbeautiful right now, as my roommate's flight connections seem to be broken. It seems like a ton of great things are happening and falling apart all at once. I've been working a lot with a new client, who is becoming a nice friend and advocate of my work. We might have some exciting shoots coming up, but a tragedy in his circle has deflected that for the time being. I have all the financial backing and support for a gallery showing of my 365 project.....only the gallery space is too small and not available until after I plan to be out of Chicago. I've been on again off again with this trip to see Xelia for a week or so now. Complicated travel systems. So good things in the air. I'm frantically playing catch the firefly. EDIT: I am getting to see Xelia! I cannot believe the generosity of strangers sometimes. A friend of a friend offered to connect me to her discounted buddy pass for cheap last minute airfare....I was talking through all of that with her when I got word from another flickr contact who ended up donating his airline miles to the kissie cause. I really hope someday I'm in a position to do such meaningful favours.

Semi-Daily Photos Project March 9, 2008 This was the third day of service (first day that it wasn't pouring rain) for Skybus Airlines from Columbus, Ohio to Wilmington, DE (New Castle County). Wilmington hasn't had mainline aircraft service since 1991 when United left. That block of text near the rear of the fuselage is the entire legal disclaimer and terms & conditions for the $10 airfares. Skybus is now out of business.
