MUSE Live in Hong Kong
I ended up going to HK one weekend in March to see another MUSE show while my friend was also visiting there cuz of Lunar New Year. They totally rocked~~~ and I'm sooo glad I went to that show cuz they played FIVE more songs than the show in Singapore!!! Plus, it's nice to see Matt dressed up differently too! For HK, he was in a more formal attire than a simple t-shirt for the outdoor venue at Singapore! All in all, it was a great rock show. The only thing that kinda sucked was the crowd... which was pretty dead and they weren't that enthusiastic (despite what this article said). It would've been a perfect show if you combine the MUSE performance of HK with the Singapore crowd, which went absolutely CRAZY~ anyway, what I remember most about that show was, haha, how insaaanely crazy I got when they started playing "Stockholm Syndrome"~~~ literally went like(???)as soon as the intro came out and turned to my friend and yelled "kyaaaaaa!!! Stockholm Syndrome!!!!!" *dies* I love that song, every single time I hear it, I feel like someone's grabbing my heart to rip it out... also, the heavily distorted guitar and bass lines added to that intensity and it's as if I'm turning manic... when we were lining up to get into the show that day, I had this discussion with my friend on Stockholm Syndrome, who was saying that it's sooo wrong... hahaha. I think all those reading of strange Japanese comics has damaged my mind too much XD~ Incidentally, my dad's greatest fear is me getting kidnapped so he moved the family out of Taiwan... haha. He'd probably freak out if he knows how weirdly obsessed I am with the whole thing. SETLIST (in bold - songs they didn't play at the Singapore show) 01. Take A Bow (the opening song to the new album!!! *dies* I was sooo happy to hear this live and to be able to sing along loudly d you'll burn in hell, yeah you'll burn in hell, for your sins~~~ d hahaha) 02. Hysteria 03. Supermassive Black Hole 04. Butterflies & Hurricanes 05. Map of the Problematique 06. New Born 07. Citizen Erased (they played this instead of “Bliss” from the same album... even tho they did play "Bliss" in Singapore, for some reason, I just really wanted to hear the song in live again that day~~~ >_<) 08. Hoodoo 09. Apocalypse Please (OMG! I totally didn't expect they'd play this!!! the opening song from the last album and one of my fave songs!!! and of course, it's always such fun to sing along d and this is the end, this is the end of the world~~~ d ^O^) 10. Feeling Good 11. Sunburn 12. Assassin 13. Starlight 14. Plug In Baby 15. Stockholm Syndrome ENCORE 16. Soldier's Poem (Matt with acoustic guitar) 17. Invincible 18. Time Is Running Out 19. Knights of Cydonia + Space Dementia outro (balloons released)
