365/23; Playlist for People Watching
Project SoulPancake: Playlist for people watching. TAKE 1. Wow, I love this challenge. I live in a very small town, not much socially to do. I teach yoga in what is known as "The Arts Council Building". It's a large, old building owned by the council. I teach on the second floor, across from Peacacre Farms, who is an awesome lady that makes handmade soaps, along with many other cool things. (www.peaceacre.com) Last week, she and her husband, along with another couple who I buy produce from at our Farmer's Market, opened an art gallery/bistro. This has been the most exciting thing to have happened in 2011 in this town! I'm SO extremely thrilled. It's on the first floor of the building, so we can do yoga and mosey right on down for coffee and art and delectable food! In fact, I just ate a veggie, provolone, pesto pita and it was fabulous! Somewhere other than fast food to have lunch QUITE excites me! Especially since I rarely eat fast food anyway. I'm really excited about my playlist. I tried to add songs I don't normally listen to, along with some songs I haven't listened to in a good while. However, I'm also excited about the kind of music they play here at the Wild Plum Cafe. In fact, the cd book in the picture is the owners. She was showing me her husbands favorite local Chicago band, Poi Dog Pondering, which I plan to check out later. I will never make it through my playlist on this lunch break I'm on, but here goes: 78% H20-Ani Difranco Zion Train-Bob Marley Your Fonder Heart-Anais Mitchell You are My Face- Wilco Would You-Lauris Vidal Wish I Could Forget-The Weepies Wild Honey Pie-The Beatles What You Got-John Lennon Way Tight-Ani Difranco Vaporize-Broken Bells Us and Them-Pink Floyd Truckin'-Grateful Dead Toothbrush and My Table-Grace Potter and the Nocturnals 'Til I Fell In Love With You- Bob Dylan Theme From The Botton-Phish That Girl-CSN&Y Sweet Disposition-The Temper Trap Stray Cat Blues-The Rolling Stones Soul-Van Morrison Somewhere Over The Rainbow-Israel Kamakawiwo'ole So Real-Jeff Buckley Silver Lining-David Gray Shake Yo' Boote-Etta James San Francisco Bay Blued- Richie Havens Pensacola-Michael Claytor and His Friends Overs- Simon & Garfunkel One of These Days- Neil Young On The Road Again-Willie Nelson Napoli-Giant Sand Mister-Stephanie Briggs Mama-Mory Kante Love Like Laughter-Beth Orton Long Haired Child-Devendra Banhart Little Acorns-The White Stripes Ok...I'll never make it past that today. Band Of Brothers
Band Of Brothers
I just finished watching Band of Brothers for the umpteenth time. Since Khumbu and Tanner are brothers it made sense. Either that or "push me, pull me" but the angle wasn't right.
