We had a meeting scheduled from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, but we finished up about thirty minutes early. We formally met Dr. Sattler, and she went a bit more in-depth about dispersion modeling and the atmosphere. It’s pretty interesting stuff, and happily I’m not having trouble grasping what we’re talking about. After we finished a PowerPoint, we had a bit of a brainstorming session to figure out what kind of scenario we’re going to model, as well as what kind of things we’ll have to look up and read about. For one, we’re going to need to know what amount of radiation doses are harmful, as well as general weather conditions in the area, and what kind of radionuclides a terrorist might be able to get their hands on.

Since I live only about an hour away, I think I’ll head home for the weekend, do some laundry, grab some stuff I forgot to pack, and generally chill.
