AIG UWSOM is the Anesthesiology Interest Group for UW medical students. AIG was organized by and ran by UW medical students with help from dedicated anesthesiology faculty members. We are committed to providing up-to-date information, resources, and events to help medical students explore the field of Anesthesiology.

April 27, 2016
Annual Panel Event- Informational panel consisting of UW faculty, residents, and community anesthesiologists. Q&A format.

April 12, 2016
Airway Night- Airway management workshop held in the UW simulation lab with faculty and residents.

August 12, 2015
Anesthesiology Residency Informational Session- Info session with UW anesthesiology residency program director, Dr. Karen Souter. Presentation on applying/matching into anesthesiology.

January 28, 2014
Anesthesia Simulation- A team of students and our anesthesiology faculty sponsor simulated putting a medical student under general anesthesia. Video recording of this to be posted soon!

March 4, 2014
Anesthesia Panel at UWMC- Anesthesia attendings, fellows, and residents enlightened a group of interested students on where the field is headed, opportunities within anesthesia, and much more. Video recording posted under events tab on the left.
