Rodney Floyd is entering his 37th year as a World History teacher. He has also teaches an elective course, International Affairs . He will also be starting IB Global Politics within the IB curriculum for the first time this year. Mr. Floyd graduated from Auburn University cum laude with a double major in history. He has taught in Florida and Georgia. He has won numerous teaching and coaching awards such as the Nobel Teacher of Excellence, Who's Who Among High School Teachers, and Teacher of the Year in three different schools. Mr. Floyd also does training in teacher pedagogy for the Georgia Department of Education and the Fulton County School District. He is also a National AP World History exam reader and table leader. He served as a head wrestling coach for 16 years and a football assistant and head coach for 30 years before retiring from athletic coaching. He enjoys reading, travel, shooting sports, and tournament bass fishing.
