There are two sessions scheduled, Friday (today) at 8:10 pm and Sunday at 7:00 pm.
These are our only opportunities to skate together as a team before the pre-season tournament. Plus, it is a chance for the coaches to evaluate the players. Since it is looking like we might have a second, JV team this year, it is particularly important that the coaches get a chance to see the players' skill levels, so they can place them on the appropriate team.
Players are encouraged, but not required, to attend both sessions. Cost for each session is $20.
Although the cost for this ice time will be included in the player's team fees, since I had to pay the MIC up front, I am requesting payment at the session from each player who attends. Any money paid now will be credited towards the player's account. However, if a player who attends the evaluations is offered a spot on a team and declines, fees paid for the practice ice will not be refunded.
Please note that the estimate of $600 for the palyer's team fees this year was based on a single team with 20 members. If we end up with two smaller teams, the cost per player will go up to approximately $800. Player fees are payable in two installments, with the first being due prior to the start of the pre-season tournament on September 11 and the second being due December 1.
