The vision of AGSM is to be a world-class executive and corporate development institution, at the forefront of global developments in applied, high-impact University Business collaborations.

Mission

The mission of AGSM is to promote, support and deliver, executive and corporate development services to professionals, executives and leading companies and organisations in Greece and the region, in collaboration with internationally recognised universities and professional organisations.  We aim to:

be the "first choice" for executive and corporate development in Greece and the region,

provide services which develop intellectual innovation according to the highest academic and industry standards,

change the learning and working environment and develop a culture which promotes creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and ethical practices.

Milestones And Achievements



1971
EMCS Eurocentre is founded in Athens, by Greek entrepreneurs and corporate executives, under the guidance of British academics.
The collaboration with the British Institute of Marketing is established.

1977
Programme delivery is extended to Thessaloniki.

1978
Programme delivery is extended to Larissa.

1980
The collaboration with CAM Education Foundation of Great Britain is established, to offer and deliver programmes in Advertising and Communications.
Programme delivery is extended to Piraeus.

1981
The collaboration with the IAA International Advertising Association based in New York is established, to offer programmes in Advertising.
Programme delivery is extended to London, UK.

1982
Programme delivery is extended to Patras.

1983
Programme delivery is extended to Nicosia, Cyprus.

1991
The collaboration with City College, London is established.

1997
AGSM Thessaloniki is founded.

1998
The collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, a public university in the United Kingdom, is established.
Delivery of the MSc in Management, Full Time MBA, Part Time MBA and Executive MBA begins.

2002
Joint delivery of the DBA Doctorate in Business administration begins.

2003
Delivery of the Βachelor (Honours) Business begins.

2004
Delivery of the MBA in Health Services Management begins.
AGSM is voted as a full member of the EFMD, the European Foundation for Management Development, during its Annual General Meeting in Barcelona, Spain.

2005
AGSM is accepted as a member of the UKCGE, the United Kingdom Council for Graduate Education.

2007
AGSM Crete is founded.

2008
AGSM is ranked as a top 3 business school in Greece from the EDUNIVERSAL International Committee.

2009
By ministerial decrees, AGSM is awarded the licence to establish and operate ATHENS GSM COLLEGE in Athens and Thessaloniki, by the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religion.
Athens Attiki Campus and Thessaloniki West Campus are established.

2010
By ministerial decrees, AGSM is awarded a renewed licence to establish and operate ATHENS GSM COLLEGE in Athens and Thessaloniki as a Centre for Post Lyceum Education, by the Hellenic Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religion.

2011
AGSM establishes a strategic partnership with ICBS Business College.

2012
AGSM collaborates with Edextra Worldwide Learning to offer online programmes and educational services

2013
AGSM establishes a strategic partnership with BRITISH HELLENIC TRAINING CENTRE to deliver its programmes in Athens and Thessaloniki.

2015
AGSM collaborates with LEEDS BECKETT UNIVERSITY for the promotion of its programmes, which are delivered in the United Kingdom and through online distance learning
A collaboration with Qualifi UK Awarding Organisation is initiated
AGSM collaborates with Global Education
AGSM establishes its new Executive and Corporate Development Centre in Athens

2016
Collaboration with ATHE, a recognised UK Awarding Organisation is established
Collaboration begins with ACTA Certification Organisation, a Spin Off of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
AGSM collaborates with SOUTHAMPTON SOLENT UNIVERSITY for the promotion of its programmes, which are delivered in the United Kingdom and through online distance learning

European Union

The European Union through a series of directives has established a framework for the recognition of academic and professional qualifications, awarded by universities and professional bodies across the union.  There also exist a framework for professional rights which these qualifications carry through the EU countries.

The responsibility for enforcing these frameworks sits with the ENIC-NARIC network.  More information can be found at the ENIC-NARIC Network and the European Union Directive 36/2005.

Hellenic Republic

The Hellenic Republic grants professional equivalence to graduates of EU universities, who have completed their studies in Greece, based on Presidential Decree 38/2010 - Government Gazette 78A'.
For information regarding the professional equivalence process, interested parties can refer to the Ministry of Education.

UK Council for Graduate Education

The aim of UKCGE is the development  of quality of postgraduate study and research activity in High Academic Institutions.  UKCGE members are the biggest universities in the UK.  UKCGE via research activities, promotes postgraduate education and develops prospects for the development of postgraduate studies.

AGSM has been an associate  member of UKCGE and participates actively in the processes and activities of the Council, providing opportunities for academic growth and development to all its stakeholders.

Hellenic Academy of Business Administration

The foundation of the Hellenic Academy of Business Administration (ΗΑΒΑ) signaled a new era of growth for Greek businesses.  HABA is a non profit organisation aiming to be a dynamic and modern organisation for the development of Business Management and Administration in Greece.  Its members are distinguished academics and corporate leaders.

The mission of HABA is to contribute to the growth of public and private businesses and Greece's efforts for social and economic prosperity. Its primary function is the production of research based output of high academic standard in Business Management, so that it will be used for the growth and international competitiveness of Greek enterprise.

To achieve its goals, HABA promotes the creation of strategic collaborations between High Education and Business in Greece.  Within this frame, the Hellenic Academy of Business Administration, endorses the effort of AGSM and its partner universities and assures their provision around:
