Into Full Flower: Making Peace Cultures Happen
Into Full Flower: Making Peace Cultures Happen
Elise Boulding, an American Quaker, and Daisaku Ikeda, a Japanese Buddhist, began their journeys in peace building from vastly divergent locales and traditions. However, as the fifteen intimate conversations of Into Full Flower: Making Peace Cultures Happen reveal, shared wisdom grows from an unwavering commitment to a better world. Throughout the book, the authors explore the dynamic qualities of peace cultures, including: peace building as a continuum from the family to global institutions; the valuing of women s contributions at all levels of society; education as a holistic, lifelong process; celebration of interdependence and a rejection of win-lose mindsets; faith in our capacity to build on already existing examples of peace cultures.

there are 4 things to find to make your press ! 1.You will need an NON ACID all purpose spray GLUE . (elmer's makes a good one) 2. stiff thin wood ( I'm using wall paneling) 3. quilt batting 4 . very thin material . like Fusible Interfacing I asked for the cheapest they had at joanne' fabric store. Basically a sheer breathable material to place your flowers and plants on . One more thing you will need is a non windy clear area to work outside!
pressed flower fabric
pressed flower fabric
My sister-in-law Karin got me a flower press for Christmas. After pressing the flowers and making a few cards, of course I had to make fabric out of the pressed flowers. The flowers and leaves on the right edge are some of the exact ones used in the fabric. Interesting to see how much the pressed flowers have faded in the two months it took me to make, order and photograph the fabric.
