Gate of Athena Archegetis - Athens Roman Agora. The gate pictured in our logo was constructed in 11 BCE. Comprised of four Doric columns and a base of Pentelic marble, its construction was made possible by donations from Julius Caesar and Augustus. Situated in the west of the Athenian Roman Forum, this gate provided the Main Entrance to the Agora and also served as a monument to the city's patroness Athena Archegetis.
