On May 25th, 2010, Eric Gibson of Zanesville, Ohio is a worker for Shelly & Sands general contracting. As part of Athens Beautification project, construction is going on in much of the city, including the site here on Ohio University’s bike path. Because of this project, construction blocks the end of the path, and Richland Avenue is also being worked on. Gibson is currently dropping a meter to get an exact location of the next dig. Their high tech GPS (operated by satellite) is accurate up to half an inch. This reconstruction is estimated to be complete within the next few weeks.
